The RN MDS Coordinator serves as a critical liaison between clinical care and regulatory compliance within our post-acute care facility. This role exists to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all Medicare/Medicaid documentation, directly impacting patient care quality and facility reimbursement. You will operate at the intersection of nursing practice and administrative precision, interpreting CMS RAI Manual regulations to guide the interdisciplinary team.
In this position, you will not only coordinate the completion of MDS Assessments, CAAs, and Care Plans but also act as an educator for direct care associates. Your day involves reviewing validation reports, identifying documentation gaps, and developing systems to prevent future errors. You will participate in daily PPS meetings and monthly triple checks, ensuring that every patient's condition is accurately reflected in the CMS QIES system before billing occurs. Beyond documentation, you will function as a staff nurse when required, demonstrating a positive attitude and excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and residents.
