Established in 1994 as a contracted school through Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS), Lad Lake Synergy School provides a comprehensive continuum of services for students on Behavioral Reassignment or those expelled through an MPS Central Services hearing. Our school offers academic programming tailored to historically underserved youth, guiding them toward earning a high school diploma.
With a mission to help youth reach their potential and live responsibly, our dedicated staff focus on building essential skills that empower students to overcome distractions and negative influences. We are the oldest youth service organization in the state, championing advancement where many of our current leaders started in entry-level roles.
We are looking for sharp, principled, mission-driven team players to assist youth facing emotional, behavioral, and educational challenges in reaching their fullest potential. As a Math Teacher, you will create a fun, engaging learning environment that works for everyone, using the right materials and teaching methods to support students' learning and well-being.
Your day will involve designing and delivering lesson plans that get students excited to learn, tailored to meet the needs of each student, including those with personalized education plans, special needs, or those requiring extra support. You will follow the Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) curriculum, ensuring it is inclusive and culturally sensitive.
Beyond academics, you will be a vital support system for the youth, their families, and fellow staff. This includes open communication, positive role modeling, showing youth how to regulate emotions, build healthy relationships, and teaching life skills. You will also be responsible for protecting our youth by honoring privacy practices and, when necessary, physically intervening to keep everyone safe.
We prioritize servanthood; our leaders are here to serve you so that you can serve our youth. We offer a robust package of personal and professional development, paying you to learn. As a Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Employer, we are committed to your future financial freedom. We also provide top-notch personal support through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and a culture where you can wear casual clothes.
Come join the Lad Lake family. Welcome Home! We invite passionate individuals who enjoy working with young people to apply and help us make a difference.
We celebrate different cultures, backgrounds, and abilities. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
