About the Team

Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time faculty member to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, specifically the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and academic environment, providing high-level care to patients across the Capital District.

Anchored in the state's historic capital city, the center offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient care and is home to the region's largest hospital, only Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma centers, and only children's hospital. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology supports 24 residents and 3 MFM fellows (1 per year). The division of MFM performs fetal echocardiography, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and more advanced procedures. The department is part of the Albany Med Health System, which serves more than three million people over 25 counties alongside Columbia Memorial Health, Glens Falls Hospital, Saratoga Hospital, and the Visiting Nurses.

About the Role

This role offers the chance to serve a diverse patient population with complex maternal-fetal needs as part of the only Level IV NICU in the region. You will practice within the Albany Med Faculty Physician Group and its affiliated inpatient facilities, providing maternal fetal medicine services including high-risk ultrasounds, prenatal consultations, and antepartum care.

In addition to clinical duties, you will teach and mentor medical students, residents, and MFM fellows. There are ample opportunities to participate in scholarly activities, including regional and national presentations and publications.
