About the Role
We are a staffing agency partnering with shipyard clients to find exceptional talent for critical operations. This Material Planning Coordinator position is designed to support our client's material planning and control functions within a demanding industrial and shipboard environment.
Reporting to the Material Control Supervisor, you will be the backbone of the stockroom, ensuring the receipt, inspection, and storage of all materials align with strict company and government policies. Your role is vital in maintaining the integrity of the supply chain, from verifying that received materials match orders and include required certifications to managing the daily flow of the warehouse.
The Work Environment
This role offers a dynamic day-to-day experience in an industrial setting. You will frequently move throughout the yard and navigate the unique challenges of shipboard environments, including maneuvering stairs, ladders, and ramps. The position requires physical engagement with heavy lifting, rigging, and the operation of equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks. You will work in conditions that may include exposure to fumes, irritants, and rapid changes in microclimates, requiring a high standard of safety awareness and adaptability.
