As a Marketing Specialist within the Public Relations & Marketing Department, you will be the creative engine behind Western Nebraska Community College's multimedia storytelling. Your mission is to develop and produce engaging content that highlights student success, academic programs, and campus initiatives to prospective students, current learners, and the broader service district.
This role serves as the departmental lead for the College's visual identity infrastructure. You will manage the Canva enterprise account, overseeing branded templates, user permissions, and brand compliance, while also curating the digital asset library to ensure all photography, video, and graphics are properly cataloged and aligned with institutional standards.
Your work bridges the gap between campus life and digital engagement. You will collaborate closely with student groups, faculty, and staff to capture high-quality photography and videography of events and academic programs. From editing short-form video content optimized for social platforms like Reels and TikTok to creating visual templates for digital campaigns, your output drives enrollment and engagement goals.
Beyond content creation, you will partner with the Digital Marketing Specialist on editorial planning and manage the social media content calendar. You will also provide Canva support and training to campus partners, ensuring the entire community can communicate effectively while maintaining brand integrity and accessibility best practices.
