The Territory Manager within Sustainability Services serves as the strategic leader for a service area spanning a specific vertical line of business. In this capacity, you will deliver a comprehensive range of innovative and cost-effective environmental solutions to clients and operating units spread nationally. This role is designed to bridge the gap between operational execution and business growth, ensuring that assigned sites not only meet their financial targets but also uphold the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
You will be the primary driver for the profit and loss of your operating units, overseeing day-to-day operations, budgeting, and the implementation of ISO programs. Your day-to-day involves managing personnel, coordinating third-party sourcing, and driving business development through the creation of bids and quotes. With a revenue scope ranging from $5 to $20 million, you will be responsible for analyzing financial performance, collecting payments, and ensuring customer satisfaction while pursuing anticipated growth goals.
Your work is a dynamic mix of strategic oversight and hands-on management. You will supervise and coordinate employee development activities across multiple sites, ensuring that Project Managers and operating teams are trained, certified, and adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to fostering relationships with clients, participating in quarterly business reviews, and renegotiating contracts to enhance service offerings.
You will direct the development of facility waste management plans, identifying opportunities to minimize waste and increase recycling. This involves ensuring proper regulatory compliance for waste profiles, container labeling, and shipment documentation. While the role is primarily managerial, you may occasionally engage in labor-intensive activities, such as drum collection, to stay connected with the operational realities of the field. Regular travel to operating sites (40-50%) is required to maintain these critical connections and ensure operational excellence.
If you are ready to lead with an entrepreneurial spirit and drive results in the environmental services industry, we invite you to apply. The process begins with submitting your application, followed by a series of interviews designed to assess your technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and cultural fit. We look for candidates who demonstrate strong business acumen, creative problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
