The Territory Manager within Sustainability Services serves as the strategic leader for a service area spanning a specific vertical line of business, often covering operating units across the nation. This role is designed to deliver a comprehensive range of innovative and cost-effective environmental solutions to assigned clients. You will act as the primary steward for the profit and loss, budgeting, and day-to-day operations of these units, ensuring that ISO programs and service execution meet the highest standards.
Your primary objective is to supervise and coordinate employee development while driving business growth through new project bids, implementation, and financial analysis. You will manage a revenue portfolio ranging from $5 to $20 million, with a stretch goal of anticipated growth within your assigned sites. This position requires a blend of entrepreneurial spirit and operational rigor, focusing on reducing waste volumes, increasing efficiencies, and generating cost savings for customers while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
Your work involves a dynamic mix of on-site leadership and strategic planning. You will oversee the development of safe work environments, ensuring all teams adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to managing customer relationships, participating in quarterly business reviews, and collaborating with local market areas to ensure core services are maintained. You will also guide the development of facility waste management plans, identifying minimization and recycling opportunities. While the role is heavily focused on management, you may occasionally engage in labor-intensive activities to stay connected with the operational reality of the sites.
This role requires regular travel to operating sites, estimated at 40-50% of your time, to ensure direct oversight and support across the assigned territory.
