About the Role
This Entry Marine Electrician position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team supporting U.S. Naval Ships in Charleston, SC. You will be part of a group that works closely with the customer and fellow Serco team members to deliver quality work on-board naval vessels and military installations. Your work will directly support the critical mission to protect and serve the Military by providing cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations.
In this role, you will perform general manual labor to support the Navy's operational needs. You will join, fabricate, and assemble various electromechanical and electronic assemblies while applying appropriate safety techniques. The work environment is active and demanding, often requiring you to work in high heat spaces, climb shipyard dry dock stairs or ladders, and work in kneeling positions under false decking. You will play a critical role in ensuring safe and successful operations aboard ships and boats, including repairing electrical wiring to restore power to engines and navigation systems.
