Join HII Mission Technologies as a Marine Electrician and make an impact on the safety of our US Navy ships. As a Marine Electrician with our Elevator Support Unit (ESU), you will provide critical task support by installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing equipment. This is a full-time position located in Chesapeake, VA.
Selected candidates will work on active class surface ships to perform alterations and installations for fleet modernization. You will interface with customers, manage subcontractors, and lead others while performing a variety of complicated and non-routine tasks. The role requires developing and using technical documents, including controlled work packages, formal work processes, and test reports, as well as scheduling, reporting, and briefing customers and senior management. When not assigned to local tasking, you will be required to travel to shipyards and military bases located around the country and abroad.

Graduation from or completion of a vocational school, apprenticeship program, or skilled trades certificate program. Experience related to maintenance and repair of shipboard aircraft elevators, advanced weapons elevators, ordnance handling equipment, and vertical package conveyors. Current or active DoD clearance. OSHA 10 Maritime Certification. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite software.
