This position is dedicated to maintaining the critical electrical infrastructure aboard ships and vessels. You will serve as a key technical resource, ensuring that marine electrical systems operate safely and efficiently in demanding industrial shipyard environments. The role requires a blend of hands-on technical skill and the ability to navigate complex regulatory standards, including NAVSEA requirements and applicable electrical codes.
In this capacity, you will work aboard naval, commercial, or government vessels, performing essential tasks such as cable pulling, terminations, and equipment hookups. Your day-to-day involves interpreting complex electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot motors, control panels, switchboards, and power distribution systems. Whether conducting routine maintenance or participating in major ship repair and overhaul projects, you will ensure all work complies with strict safety standards while coordinating effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades.
