Precision Pulley & Idler (PPI) is dedicated to maintaining enterprise-wide manufacturing standards across all facilities. Our mission centers on ensuring processes are documented consistently, accurately, and in alignment with safety, quality, productivity, and training objectives. We foster an inclusive environment where employee-owners collaborate to drive operational excellence.
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will serve as the primary owner of our manufacturing standard work systems. This role exists to bridge the gap between complex engineering data and the production floor, translating engineering prints, routings, and operational knowledge into clear, visual, and effective operator instructions. You will be the enterprise owner of documentation standards, managing templates, revision control, and governance practices to reduce variation and reliance on undocumented knowledge.
In this position, you will partner with Manufacturing, Industrial, and Quality Engineers, as well as supervisors and operators, to ensure our processes reflect current best practices. Your day-to-day involves leading continuous improvement efforts, supporting new product introductions, and evaluating digital manufacturing technologies to enhance accessibility and standardization on the production floor. You will work in a dynamic environment that includes both office settings and the production floor, where you may encounter loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and outdoor weather conditions.
Candidates selected for this role will be expected to demonstrate strong technical writing skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Training, and Operations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, along with at least three years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
