Key Responsibilities
- check_circleEnsure safe work practices for all assembly and wiring processes and compliance with applicable safety standards
- check_circleCreate, maintain, and continuously improve production routings for switchboard and panelboard operations
- check_circleEstablish and enforce standardized work at the direct labor level to drive consistency and reduce variability
- check_circleLead root cause investigations with Quality control to eliminate recurring production defects
- check_circleSupport materials management, production control, and inventory control activities including cycle counting
- check_circleWork directly with Engineering to resolve production issues and remove constraints impacting on-time delivery
- check_circleSupport UL891 and UL67 production compliance requirements ensuring assemblies meet listed procedures
- check_circleDrive continuous improvement initiatives across production, material flow, and facility operations
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- verified3-5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or production operations
- verifiedExperience in switchgear, switchboard, or electrical panel assembly
- verifiedWorking knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, and NFPA 70E
- verifiedFamiliarity with UL891 and UL67 manufacturing processes
- verifiedExperience with fixtures, jigs, or tooling improvements
- verifiedExperience with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- verifiedExperience with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics365, Odoo)
- verifiedGreen Belt or Black Belt certification (preferred)
Nice to Have
Experience with UL891 switchboard, control panels, and UL67 panelboard manufacturing processes (bus bar fabrication, power wiring, control wiring, hi-pot/dielectric testing, final QC, etc.). Familiarity with UL listing and labeling requirements, follow-up service inspection procedures, and maintaining production compliance within a UL-certified facility. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics365, Odoo). Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and visual management systems. Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, and NFPA 70E as they relate to switchboard and panel construction.
