As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will join a collaborative environment where you play a pivotal role in optimizing production processes. You will work alongside cross-functional teams including Production Operations, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, Controls Engineering, Operations Excellence, and Supply Chain to drive continuous improvement and enhance overall production performance.
This position is based on-site at our Beloit, Wisconsin manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for equipment optimization, improving process capability, and executing step-to-step enhancements. A significant portion of your day will involve close collaboration with various teams to reduce risk and maintain strict adherence to food safety and quality standards.
Your work will focus on evaluating existing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction. You will design and implement improvements to enhance yield, reduce waste, and increase throughput while leveraging data analysis and statistical techniques to mitigate operational risk. A key aspect of this role involves leading or assisting in the development of new equipment installations, from concept to commissioning, with a focus on maximizing output.
You will also take ownership of manufacturing process control plans, setting up in-process measurement systems and conducting Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to proactively identify potential failure points. A specialized component of this role involves executing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities on Tetra Pak systems, including the Filler A3 Compact Flex, A3 Flex, and A3 Speed, as well as Straw and Cap Applicators. You will provide technical guidance for setups and root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical breakdowns, while also training and coaching plant maintenance staff on these specific control systems.
