The Finance Team serves as a critical business partner, managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management. As the Manager, Transaction Tax, you will report to the Director, Transaction Tax and play a pivotal role in ensuring that Hilton corporate and affiliated companies remain in compliance with state and local sales, use, and business license tax laws. This position is designed for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, bridging the gap between complex tax regulations and operational business needs.
In this role, you will be the go-to expert for tax research and compliance, responding to requests from internal customers and taxing authorities while resolving any compliance issues that arise. You will coordinate corporate sales, use, and business license tax audits, communicating findings directly to the Audit Manager. Your day-to-day involves leading the implementation and maintenance of departmental systems, working closely with IT to explain departmental needs, and training team members on custom-designed computerized tax return systems. You will also draft preliminary tax policies and procedures for corporate locations and advise on special projects involving new business for hotel operations.
