At Hilton, the hospitality we're known for doesn't end with our guests. As a global leader in hospitality, we've welcomed more than 3 billion guests worldwide while staying true to our founding vision: to fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality. Our award-winning culture has earned us repeated recognition on the World's Best Workplaces list by Great Place to Work and Fortune. We don't just deliver exceptional experiences for our guests; we build an exceptional workplace for the Team Members who make it all possible.
The Finance Team serves as a critical business partner, managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management. This role sits within that ecosystem, ensuring our corporate and affiliated companies maintain strict compliance with state and local tax laws.
As the Manager, Transaction Tax, you will report to the Director, Transaction Tax and serve as a vital link between our corporate operations and complex tax regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring Hilton's compliance with state and local sales, use, and business license tax laws. Your day will involve researching and responding to tax information requests from internal customers and taxing authorities, resolving compliance issues, and coordinating corporate sales and use tax audits.
You will lead the implementation and maintenance of departmental systems, working closely with IT to explain department needs and training team members on custom-designed computerized tax return systems. Beyond technical execution, you will draft preliminary tax policies, conduct research on special projects for new business, and consult with non-tax functional groups such as Treasury, Accounting, and Legal to further departmental and company objectives.
