About the Team

The Small Engine Business boasts a legacy dating back seventy years, with its core product serving as the power plant for the original Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules transport that first flew in 1953. Today, the business continues to evolve through ongoing multi-million-dollar R&D programs designed to ensure the product remains in service for another fifty years. Located in Indianapolis, IN, this small, entrepreneurial team operates within the Aero-derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) product line of the Gas Services division.

The Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization, housing zero or low-emission power generation, all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators under one roof. The division focuses on decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and the digitalization of the fleet.

About the Role

As the Product Manager and Head of Projects for the SGT-A05 business, you will support the new equipment and services business for the 3-6MW Power Generation and Oil & Gas sectors. This role leads and coordinates a team of project engineers, product definers, and configuration management specialists. You will manage the overall Engineering Operations and Research & Development program budgets while maintaining the SGT-A05 product roadmap to outline investments required to meet current and future customer needs.

Your day will involve driving the resource balancing process to ensure headcount meets business needs, managing the planning and execution of development and certification/qualification programs, and chairing internal Product Development Process (PDP) gates and reviews. You will provide strategic vision for technology insertion, engine growth, and reduced production and operating costs.
