This position serves as the operational backbone for a multi-physician practice or division, managing daily administrative functions to ensure seamless delivery of healthcare services. The role exists to bridge the gap between clinical excellence and administrative efficiency, coordinating complex programs, personnel, and fiscal resources across single or multiple sites.
As the leader of the Operations team, you will guide supervisors and staff toward achieving departmental objectives while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. You will act as the primary liaison between attending physicians, patients, and administrative leadership, ensuring that all operational strategies align with the broader health system's goals. From planning growth initiatives and space allocation to overseeing capital equipment requests and construction projects, this role requires a strategic mindset capable of adapting to market changes and regulatory shifts.
Your day involves a dynamic mix of strategic planning and hands-on management. You will oversee the full spectrum of administrative disciplines, including scheduling, insurance verification, charge capture, and referral management, ensuring that billing practices and Part B revenue collection are optimized. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to personnel management—hiring, training, and evaluating staff to maintain high performance and efficiency.
You will also serve as a key compliance officer, monitoring program components against regulatory agency criteria and ensuring adherence to HIPAA, the Corporate Compliance Program, and public health laws. By collaborating with the Research Institute and clinical leadership, you will help develop and evaluate clinical programs, utilizing data to identify quality benchmarks and opportunities for improvement. Whether preparing Certificate of Need (CON) applications or streamlining operations through new technologies, your work ensures the division operates fiscally responsibly and delivers exceptional patient experiences.
