About the Role
SAAB is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing to lead our Manufacturing & Production operations within the Defense & Aerospace sector. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day shop-floor activities, driving operational excellence to ensure the on-time, high-quality delivery of complex defense systems. You will serve as a critical bridge between engineering requirements and executable production activities, collaborating closely with Systems Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to ensure a smooth design-to-production transfer.
This position is designed for a leader who thrives in a highly innovative and collaborative environment. You will be responsible for managing production teams, optimizing processes, and implementing lean and continuous improvement initiatives. Beyond technical execution, you will coach and develop staff, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and manage budgets and resources while ensuring strict compliance with safety, regulatory, and defense industry standards.

- check_circleMonitor and improve KPIs including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory
- check_circleOversee capacity planning, labor planning, and equipment utilization
- check_circleEnsure compliance with aerospace/defense standards, including AS9100 and regulatory requirements
- check_circleMaintain accurate production documentation, work instructions, and traceability records
- check_circleSupport internal and external audits and customer inspections
- check_circleContribute to budgeting, forecasting, and capital equipment proposals for the manufacturing area

Requirements
- verifiedExperience with AS9100 or similar aerospace/defense quality standards
- verifiedCertified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- verifiedLean Manufacturing certification
- verifiedASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) a plus
- verifiedPMP or equivalent project management certification a plus
