About the Role
SAAB is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing to lead our Manufacturing & Production operations within the Defense & Aerospace sector. In this pivotal role, you will oversee day-to-day shop-floor activities, driving operational excellence to ensure the on-time, high-quality delivery of complex defense systems. You will serve as a key partner to Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, fostering a highly innovative and collaborative environment where continuous improvement is the standard.
Your day will involve balancing strategic production planning with hands-on leadership. You will guide supervisors, technicians, and operators, coaching them to develop their skills while maintaining a culture of safety and accountability. From monitoring critical KPIs to managing budgets and resources, you will ensure that every aspect of the manufacturing process aligns with our rigorous standards. This position is essential for supporting new product introductions, validating processes, and resolving complex production issues to keep our defense programs on track.
