This position provides leadership for the Health Information Management (HIM) team across one or more sites within Adventist Health. You will serve as a strategic partner, setting and enforcing policies and guidelines to ensure timely and accurate operations while monitoring compliance with key HIM indicators to maintain enterprise objectives.
In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop standards for data content, mapping, and documentation, supporting high-quality data and accurate coding for payment purposes. You will investigate data variability issues to quantify their impact and identify solutions, while also contributing to the design, implementation, and training of electronic health records (EHR) systems. Additionally, you will lead the abstracting and retrieval of medical data used for evaluation, planning, and research.
Beyond technical oversight, you will foster a respectful work environment by leading by example, sharing knowledge, and advocating for your team. You will delegate work with clear expectations, provide timely feedback to encourage success, and identify the right talent to achieve desired results.
