Adventist Health is a faith-based, nonprofit, integrated health system serving more than 100 communities on the West Coast and Hawaii with over 440 sites of care, including 27 acute care facilities. Founded on Adventist heritage and values, our compassionate team of more than 38,000 employees, physicians, and volunteers is driven by one mission: living God's love by inspiring health, wholeness, and hope.
Our corporate headquarters have been based in Roseville, California, for more than 40 years. In 2019, we unveiled our WELL-certified campus—a rejuvenating place for associates systemwide to collaborate, innovate, and connect. Whether working virtually or on campus, our shared service teams enjoy a welcoming space designed to promote well-being and inspire your best work.
As a leader within our Health Information Management (HIM) team, you will provide direction for operations across one or more sites. Your role is pivotal in maintaining enterprise objectives by monitoring compliance with key HIM indicators and setting the standards for timely, accurate operations.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement data standards, ensuring high-quality data content and accurate coding for payment purposes. This involves investigating data variability, quantifying its impact, and identifying solutions to drive continuous improvement. You will also play a key role in the design, implementation, and training of electronic health records (EHR) to support high-quality data collection at the point of care.
Beyond technical oversight, you will lead the abstracting and retrieval of medical data used for evaluation, planning, and research. You will foster a respectful work environment by advocating for your team, ensuring accountability, and recognizing accomplishments. By delegating work effectively and providing timely feedback, you will help associates overcome roadblocks and achieve their professional development goals.
Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients. As a condition of employment, all associates are required to receive all necessary vaccinations, where applicable, with medical and religious exemptions considered.
We participate in E-Verify. By choosing to apply, you acknowledge that you have accessed and read the E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices.
