The Manager of Health Information Management serves as the strategic leader for the HIM department, overseeing the corporate direction and operational performance of critical functions including coding, clinical documentation improvement, release of information, and information governance. As the Facility Privacy Officer and custodian of all medical records, you will ensure strict regulatory and legal compliance while maintaining the integrity of the organization's data.
In this role, you will lead diverse teams across a multi-facility setting, fostering strong working relationships with providers, external attorneys, and department leaders. You will be responsible for developing policies, managing budgets, and driving performance improvements through key indicators. This position requires a leader who can effectively manage staff development, from interviewing and hiring to performance evaluation and recognition, while actively participating in the organization's strategic planning and compliance programs.
