The Field Human Resources Manager serves as a key member of the Field Human Resources Support team and a trusted adviser to the Operations Team. This role is dedicated to achieving great people results in retention, internal selection, development, staffing, and cultural leadership. You will act as a champion of the Potbelly Way culture, bringing positive energy and fun to the role while utilizing strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
In this position, you will elevate leadership at all levels, support succession development and planning, and provide feedback to shape HR processes and policies. Success in this role is measured by turnover goals, the timely and effective handling of employee relations matters, and the strength of the succession bench. You will partner with Talent Acquisition and Training teams to ensure excellence in the employee experience throughout the entire employment lifecycle.
This is a field-based, full-time exempt position. While the role is 100% remote in spirit, candidates must reside in the Chicago, IL market. The position requires moderate travel, with up to 30% of time spent in shops and traveling to support field operations. You will be expected to work a minimum of 50 hours per week and engage in problem-solving within a fast-paced environment.
