The Manager of Communications serves as the primary digital content generalist for assigned academic units and administrative offices at Texas Woman's University. This role is pivotal in raising institutional brand awareness among internal and external constituencies while supporting student recruitment and retention efforts. You will act as the essential link between the Marketing and Communications team and subject matter experts across campus, ensuring that the university's digital presence aligns with strategic communication initiatives and marketing plans.
In this position, you will manage the day-to-day operations of web content, including planning, developing, and maintaining specific areas of the TWU website. Your work involves a blend of strategic storytelling and operational execution, from identifying story opportunities for media channels to enforcing web style guides and federal compliance laws. The role requires a proactive approach to digital storytelling, ensuring the website remains intuitive, scalable, and visually compelling.
You will report to the Assistant Vice President of Communication/PIO and function as a key liaison between journalists, faculty, and the broader university community. The team relies on your ability to coordinate media visits, arrange faculty interviews, and promote the accomplishments of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. While the role operates with minimal supervision, it is deeply collaborative, requiring constant engagement with departmental leadership and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
