This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT, electronic warfare, and C5ISR systems. HII works within the nation's intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, and software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners.
Leadership at HII – Mission Technologies is defined by a core framework where leaders are accountable for knowing and growing their people, building relationships, taking ownership, prioritizing the customer, shaping the future, and acting with urgency. These capabilities define how leaders inspire teams, deliver results, and shape the future of Mission Technologies.
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, this role serves as a hands-on leader with the authority to manage and integrate all activities necessary to identify and win Department of Defense (DoD) growth opportunities. The position is designed to engage directly with senior customer leadership and acquisition teams, providing strategic guidance to HII proposal teams on producing discriminating offer designs for large, single-award contract bids or IDIQ Task Orders.
You will act as a bridge between operational needs and HII's specialized capabilities, specifically within the Warfare Systems Platform Integration products and services. The role requires confident, knowledgeable leadership that works collaboratively with all stakeholders to resolve customer requirements. Your day-to-day will involve performing market and economic analysis, conducting business intelligence, designing and executing formal capture plans, supporting marketing efforts, and monitoring competitor activity. You will manage the full lifecycle of opportunities from exploratory stages through qualification, ensuring the pipeline aligns with the group's strategic plan to increase market share and revenue.
Candidates selected for this role will be expected to demonstrate a deep understanding of the capture process, including strategic planning, shaping, competitive analysis, teaming, and proposal development. The interview process will likely involve discussions on your experience with large, multi-year capture efforts and your ability to leverage internal and external experts to fulfill client requirements.
Together, we are working to ensure a future where everyone can be free and thrive. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, physical or mental disability, age, or veteran status. If you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact buildyourcareer@hii-co.com or call 1-844-849-8463 (Press #3 for HII Mission Technologies).
