About the Role

We are seeking a Government Business Development Manager to drive multimillion-dollar revenue growth within state, local, and federal government agencies across the New England region. In this role, you will develop trusted new business relationships and market comprehensive security solutions through multi-year service contracts to government decision-makers.

Your mission is to help communities become more secure while creating new job opportunities for security professionals. By consistently surpassing annual sales goals, you will play a vital part in expanding our local presence and positioning Allied Universal's comprehensive solutions. This is a remote position with travel throughout the territory, offering high earning potential through a residual commission plan and bonus kickers.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleDrive the entire sales process including prospecting, proposal development, and contract negotiations
  • check_circleBuild and maintain consultative relationships with government clients and industry stakeholders
  • check_circleStay up to date on industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify innovative business opportunities
  • check_circleAssess and report on sales cycle activity, pipeline development, and sales goals using CRM tools
  • check_circleDevelop and execute strategic business development plans targeting state, local, and federal agencies
  • check_circleCollaborate with internal teams to position solutions and ensure seamless client transitions

Requirements

  • verifiedBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field with 5+ years outside sales experience
  • verifiedAssociate's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field with 7+ years outside sales experience
  • verifiedHigh School diploma with 15+ years outside sales experience including 5+ years in government vertical
  • verifiedCurrent driver's license
  • verifiedProficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office
  • verifiedAbility to travel throughout territory including overnight travel

Nice to Have

Outsourced solutions sales to state, local and federal government agencies. Knowledge of a contracting environment for government agencies, including the procurement process, capture management, regulations and winning government competitive proposals. Experience with Ariba, Bid Net, or other online procurement systems.
