As a Major Gifts Officer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by building and nurturing a portfolio of major donors. This relationship-driven, results-oriented position is designed for a self-starter who is energized by achieving measurable fundraising outcomes. You will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of donors, generating revenue, and ensuring that philanthropic investments directly support our programs.
In this role, you will act as a bridge between our community and our cause. You will conduct research to identify potential donors, cultivate relationships through personalized engagement, and steward existing donors through a comprehensive acknowledgment plan. Your work will involve representing the agency at community events, providing tours, and sharing compelling stories of our impact to match donor intent with agency needs. Success in this role is measured by your ability to close individual gifts of $10,000 or more, achieve annual revenue goals, and foster long-term retention within your assigned portfolio.
This is an on-site position based in our office, requiring a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to accommodate meetings and community events. While the majority of duties are performed in an office environment, the role involves both inside and outside conditions. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to accommodate special events and donor meetings.
