Reporting to the Development leadership team, the Major Gifts Officer serves as a strategic partner in growing philanthropic support for our critical programs. This role is designed for a relationship-builder who thrives on translating complex medical and programmatic work into compelling stories that resonate with donors. You will manage a high-value portfolio of major donors and prospects, crafting and executing customized strategies for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
In this position, you will go beyond transactional giving to build deep, lasting connections. Your day will involve conducting donor visits, calls, and virtual meetings to deepen engagement, while preparing impactful proposals and case statements. You will work closely with program and medical staff to ensure our donors understand the tangible difference their contributions make. Additionally, you will play a key role in shaping campaigns and signature fundraising events, representing the Foundation at community gatherings to expand our network of supporters.
