About the Role

As a Maintenance Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the facility operates safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on structures, electrical systems, plumbing, washers and dryers, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Your work must strictly comply with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, Management & Training Corporation (MTC) guidelines, and Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) directives.

In this position, you will direct inmates assigned to facility maintenance tasks, perform minor construction and structural woodwork, and handle preventive maintenance checks on buildings and equipment. You will also assist in preparing surfaces for finishing, including painting, and install security features such as window shades and locks.
