About the Role
The Maintenance Technician-Porter serves as the frontline guardian of property standards and resident safety in Van Nuys. This full-time position blends skilled facility maintenance with comprehensive property upkeep, ensuring a clean, functional, and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike.
You will be the primary point of contact for daily property inspections, preventative maintenance programs, and emergency repairs. Your day involves a dynamic mix of technical troubleshooting—ranging from HVAC and electrical systems to plumbing and carpentry—and diligent cleaning of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and laundry centers. Beyond technical duties, you will manage inventory, coordinate with contractors, and maintain open communication with the Property Manager to uphold company standards.
This role requires a high level of reliability and availability. You will work a standard Monday–Friday schedule but must be prepared to respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating basis, ensuring 24/7 coverage for the community.
