We specialize in both affordable and market-rate apartment living, including high-rise HUD properties dedicated to seniors and individuals with disabilities.
This Maintenance Technician position supports a 200-unit high-rise property in Los Angeles, CA. You will serve as a vital link between the Property Manager, Assistant Manager, and residents, ensuring the community remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. The role is dynamic with no typical days; you will handle a diverse range of tasks including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs, as well as exterior maintenance and grounds upkeep.
Your day-to-day involves responding to service requests, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and managing property safety inspections. You will also assist with apartment turnovers, coordinate with outside contractors, and maintain the organization of the maintenance shop. A key aspect of this role is delivering high-level customer service while managing change and constant demands.
While the primary schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, this position requires flexibility. You must be available for on-call duties to respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating basis. This includes being reachable 24/7 and potentially working overtime. You will also be expected to drive to local areas as necessary and maintain a valid driver's license and personal transportation.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a clean background check. The hiring process includes a review of your motor vehicle report and a mandatory drug screening.
