At Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark Hotel, we believe in helping our guests experience the DNA of the neighborhoods they are visiting. Our guests come to discover and uncover the unexpected, to dive into a new culture, or simply to make the most of a free evening. They see business travel as an adventure because they see all travel as an adventure. Where others may settle for the usual, our guests see a chance to bring home a great story. And so do we.
We are looking for a fellow spontaneous explorer to join our team to bring the spirit of the neighborhood to our guests. As a key member of our Engineering & Facilities team, you will be the guardian of our physical property, ensuring that every guest interaction is seamless and every system runs smoothly. This role is designed for someone who thrives on solving complex problems with little to no supervision, turning maintenance challenges into opportunities for excellence.
In this position, you will be the first point of contact for guest repair requests, communicating directly with guests to resolve issues with professionalism and speed. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of hands-on technical work and strategic oversight. You will perform advanced troubleshooting on our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, ranging from HVAC and refrigeration units to complex electrical circuits and plumbing fixtures. From replacing pump motors to unclogging drains and programming TVs, your technical expertise ensures our property meets the highest standards of comfort and safety.
Beyond immediate repairs, you will play a vital role in the hotel's long-term operational health. You will conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, manage inventory, and operate shut-off valves with precision. You will also serve as a mentor, training and guiding other engineers as needed, and stepping into Engineer on Duty responsibilities to lead readings and rounds. Your ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics will be essential as you navigate the intricate systems that keep our hotel running.
