At Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark Hotel, we believe in helping our guests experience the DNA of the neighborhoods they are visiting. Our guests come to discover and uncover the unexpected, to dive into a new culture, or simply to make the most of a free evening. They see business travel as an adventure because they see all travel as an adventure. Where others may settle for the usual, our guests see a chance to bring home a great story. And so do we.
We are looking for a spontaneous explorer to join our team to bring the spirit of the neighborhood to our guests. As a key member of our Engineering & Facilities team, you will be the guardian of our physical property, ensuring that every guest interaction is seamless and every system is running at peak performance. This role is designed for someone who thrives on solving complex problems with little to no supervision, turning maintenance challenges into opportunities for excellence.
In this position, you will be the first point of contact for guest repair requests, communicating directly with guests to resolve issues with professionalism and empathy. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of hands-on technical work and strategic oversight. You will perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, visually inspect machinery, and manage inventory to ensure supplies are always on hand. From troubleshooting complex HVAC systems and plumbing issues to replacing electrical switches and programming TVs, you will handle a wide array of repairs that keep our hotel running smoothly.
Beyond the technical tasks, you will play a vital role in our team culture. You will be expected to train and mentor other engineers, participate in Engineer on Duty responsibilities, and maintain positive working relationships across all departments. You will ensure that all work meets company standards and local and national codes, utilizing advanced blueprints and electrical schematics to guide your work. Whether you are performing highly complex repairs on pool heaters or simply ensuring the safety of our guests and team members, your work directly contributes to the adventure our guests experience.
