As a Maintenance Technician for our Food Manufacturing facility in Chicago, you will be the backbone of our production line, ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency. This role is critical for maintaining the continuous flow of sugar conveying, elevating, and storage systems within a high-speed manufacturing environment. You will work directly with production, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, ensuring that all operations meet strict FDA, OSHA, and GMP standards.
The position is designed for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting. Your day will involve a mix of proactive preventative maintenance on critical assets like screw conveyors and bucket elevators, alongside reactive repairs to minimize downtime. You will also play a key role in process optimization, conducting root cause analyses to prevent future failures and assisting in system upgrades. Beyond the technical work, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation to satisfy rigorous customer and regulatory audits, ensuring our facility remains compliant and safe.
