Maintenance Technician

About the Role

This position serves as a vital support to the Maintenance Supervisor, focusing on special maintenance projects and ensuring the seamless operation of building components and mechanical systems. The role is designed for a hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing routine preventative maintenance with urgent resident service requests.

In this capacity, you will be the first point of contact for residents, handling make-ready procedures such as painting, appliance repair, and fixture replacements. Your day-to-day involves regular inspections of grounds, buildings, and major equipment to identify structural issues, excessive wear, or safety hazards like faulty alarm systems. You will also manage seasonal responsibilities, including snow removal, and act swiftly during emergencies by following strict safety protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.

Beyond technical repairs, this role emphasizes strong interpersonal skills. You will maintain positive working relationships with tenants, staff, and external contractors, ensuring clear communication and a respectful environment. Compensation and Benefits

This non-exempt role offers an anticipated hourly pay range of $22.00–$30.00, determined by experience, qualifications, and market factors. Eligible employees may receive discretionary or performance-based bonuses. Full-time positions (30+ hours/week) are eligible for overtime pay, two weeks of paid vacation, three weeks of sick and related leave, 11 paid holidays, and comprehensive health and welfare benefits.

Requirements
