The Service Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar's rigorous standards. This position is the frontline for maintaining property value and resident satisfaction through technical and mechanical work.
In this role, you will diagnose and repair defects in response to resident service requests, ensuring all work adheres to established policies, safety standards, and code requirements. A key part of your day involves the "make-ready" process, where you prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents by conducting pre-move-out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, and completing necessary maintenance tasks. You will also support cost-cutting initiatives by prioritizing repairs over replacements and managing inventory efficiently.
Beyond individual repairs, you will assist in maintaining the grounds and common areas, including pressure-washing, general cleaning, and painting. You will serve as a guardian of safety by participating in routine safety meetings, completing required OSHA training, and inspecting work performed by contractors to verify quality and compliance. The role requires flexibility, including the ability to take call during evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to work in all weather conditions.
