About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician at Roost, The, you will be the backbone of our community's operational excellence. You will assist in carrying out comprehensive maintenance processes, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance. Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, you will also manage the make-ready process to ensure units are prepared for new residents in alignment with our property's operational objectives.

Your day will involve responding to resident and management requests for community common areas, buildings, and units in a timely manner. You will ensure all necessary repairs and replacements are completed, assist with the scheduling of maintenance turn events, and maintain the exterior grounds, breezeways, and common areas. A key part of your role includes performing swimming pool maintenance and keeping accurate chemical logs. You will also inspect grounds and buildings daily to identify and correct hazardous conditions, maintain a preventative maintenance program to extend the life of the community, and ensure the maintenance shop is well-organized and stocked while adhering to safety standards and OSHA guidelines.

Beyond technical duties, you will be a face of the community, managing excellent customer service and projecting a favorable image to achieve property objectives. You will enforce community policies, participate in unit inspections, and maintain accurate records regarding service requests and safety compliance. This role requires regular onsite attendance and participation in on-call emergency rotations.
