As a Maintenance Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the facility operates safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of structures, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, and laundry equipment in compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, MTC directives, and Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) guidelines. Your day-to-day involves directing inmate labor for facility maintenance, conducting preventive maintenance checks, and responding to emergency equipment breakdowns. Beyond technical repairs, you will also model positive social skills and intervene when inappropriate behaviors are observed, contributing to the rehabilitation environment.
