Bowhead is seeking a Supply Maintenance Operations Manager to support logistics operations at Fort Irwin, California. This role is critical to the installation logistics support contract, ensuring the seamless integration of Maintenance, Supply, and Transportation services.
The position operates within the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), a hub comprising four primary divisions: Plans and Operations (P&O), Materiel Maintenance Division (MMD), Installation Supply & Services Division (ISSD), and Installation Transportation Division (ITD). The successful candidate will provide administrative and operational leadership for the FICA Maintenance Department, driving efficiency and quality in support of Army standards.
In this capacity, you will serve as the operational backbone for the Materiel Maintenance Division. Your day-to-day involves directing the repair of motorized equipment and small arms, managing production cycles, and ensuring all maintenance facilities remain safe and fully serviceable. You will act as the primary liaison between the Project Manager and the MMD team, stepping in to fulfill PM duties when necessary.
Beyond technical oversight, this role demands a strategic approach to continuous process improvement (CPI) and financial management. You will be responsible for developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), tracking performance metrics, and ensuring that all Government Furnished Property and Equipment are accounted for. The environment is dynamic, requiring the flexibility to adjust to emergency situations and changing program requirements while maintaining a cohesive, high-performing team.
To be considered for this position, candidates must be US Citizens and currently hold an active Secret security clearance. The role requires on-site presence at Fort Irwin, working within a mix of office and non-office settings, including maintenance and supply facilities where personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
