About the Role
This position serves as a vital operational hub within the private fleet, ensuring the integrity of daily logistics through meticulous tracking and administrative support. You will be responsible for maintaining pallet tracking systems, auditing driver logs and trip reports, and ensuring all DOT requirements are met. Acting as a key liaison for internal customer support, you will manage the close-out process for return goods as directed by customers.
Your day-to-day involves a blend of office administration and field coordination. You will handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fuel reconciliation, and billing while maintaining accurate databases. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to the maintenance and distribution of route books and managing daily interfaces with drivers, including assisting with vacation coverage and overflow freight. Flexibility is essential, as you will prioritize workload and adjust to changing position requirements and customer needs.
