Safety-Kleen, a Clean Harbors company, is dedicated to a safety-first, sustainability-driven mission within the environmental services sector. Our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management teams are the backbone of our operations, ensuring the reliable functioning of critical recycling and waste management facilities. We foster a culture where compliance and continuous improvement are paramount, providing a platform for strong training and career growth for our technical leaders.
As a Maintenance Mechanic Lead, you will serve as a hands-on leader guiding a small team of mechanics to ensure the safe and reliable operation of complex environmental processing equipment. This role is designed to bridge the gap between daily maintenance execution and strategic reliability improvements. You will champion OSHA and environmental compliance while partnering directly with engineering on equipment upgrades and root cause investigations. Your day-to-day involves overseeing troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, motors, and fluid power systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum production efficiency.
Candidates selected for this role will engage in a structured interview process designed to assess technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and cultural fit. The process typically includes an initial screening, a technical deep-dive into mechanical systems and safety protocols, and a final interview with the hiring team to discuss team dynamics and operational goals.
Safety-Kleen is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
