About the Role

SMS Corporate is seeking a highly skilled, versatile, and safety-focused Maintenance Manager (Master Mechanic, Multi-Site Travel) to oversee maintenance operations across all U.S. locations. This position reports to a Regional Operations Director and serves as a hands-on leader responsible for managing maintenance teams and programs.

As a key member of the management team, you will function as a Master Mechanic to train, mentor, and support local maintenance staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence. You will partner with site managers and operations leadership to prioritize and execute maintenance initiatives, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance of all equipment and facilities. The role requires a deep commitment to continuous improvement, cost savings, and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.

A defining aspect of this position is the extensive travel requirement (estimated 50–75%). You will travel to company sites across the U.S. to provide direct support, training, and leadership, treating company expenses with the same care as your own. This role exists to maximize uptime, reduce unplanned downtime, and drive operational excellence across our nationwide facilities.
