About the Role

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing team at our Chittenango, NY facility. This role is pivotal in supporting our substantial growth and advancement opportunities within the aerospace and defense sectors. You will be the backbone of our production floor, responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining the plant equipment that keeps our operations running. From basic maintenance support for startup operations like air filtration systems to complex repairs of programmable logic controllers, your work ensures the reliability of our critical manufacturing processes.

The Day-to-Day

Your day will involve a dynamic mix of hands-on technical work and collaboration. You will monitor machines to detect malfunctions, diagnose problems with supervisors, and perform preventive maintenance according to schedule. The role requires dismantling defective equipment, installing new parts, and laying out pipe systems and hydraulic equipment. You will also manage supplies, repair the physical structure of the establishment, and communicate effectively with operators before and after repairs. Adherence to strict safety policies, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, is a daily priority.
