About the Role

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing team at our Chittenango, NY facility. This role is vital to our mission of supporting substantial growth and advancement opportunities within the aerospace and defense sectors. You will be the backbone of our production floor, ensuring plant equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.

In this position, you will perform a wide range of duties including installing, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery. Your day-to-day will involve monitoring equipment to detect malfunctions, dismantling defective machines to install new parts, and maintaining pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. You will also be responsible for assembling and installing electronic control systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and performing preventive maintenance according to schedule. Effective communication with operators and supervisors is key to diagnosing problems and ensuring safe, continuous operations.
