About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing team at our Chittenango, NY facility. This role is pivotal in keeping our production lines running efficiently within the aerospace and defense sectors. You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining plant production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum output.
In this position, you will work closely with operators, supervisors, and engineers to diagnose machine malfunctions and implement repairs. Your day-to-day activities will involve dismantling defective equipment, installing new or repaired parts, and maintaining pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and electronic control systems. You will also perform preventive maintenance, manage supplies, and ensure adherence to strict safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
