The role is critical for maintaining adherence to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) standards and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The Manager is responsible for developing and enforcing preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime while extending asset life. Beyond technical oversight, the position involves managing the department budget, approving expenditures, and leading a team through training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary procedures.
