The Lead Maintenance Technician serves as the operational backbone of the maintenance department, blending hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities. This role is critical for upholding organizational and industry standards regarding safety and the physical integrity of the community. The position focuses on ensuring the property's appearance meets market-ready standards while strictly adhering to established budgets.
In this capacity, you will oversee the restoration of vacated apartments, manage timely service requests, and supervise maintenance staff. The role requires considerable judgment and initiative to resolve complex problems, determine procedures for new assignments, and provide guidance to nonexempt personnel. As a key leader, you will be responsible for everything from minor repairs and appliance maintenance to supervising the team and managing on-call schedules.
