Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Long Island, NY, ASR International provides worldwide management and technical support services to government agencies and Fortune 500 customers. With a presence in over 40 countries, the company delivers a full spectrum of complex professional services, including construction management, engineering, logistics, project management, and quality control.
As a Construction Surveillance Engineering Technician (CSET) at Naval Air Station Pensacola, you will serve as a vital management support resource for construction services. Your primary mission is to ensure the seamless coordination of construction activities, maintaining strict adherence to quality assurance standards, environmental compliance, and contract administration.
In this role, you will act as the liaison between the construction contractor, Navy client customers, and various base personnel, including security, public works, and fire departments. Your day-to-day involves coordinating complex requests such as outage permits and excavation approvals, while tracking their status to prevent delays. You will be the eyes and ears on the ground, monitoring field activities, witnessing critical measurements, and reviewing materials testing to ensure all work meets contract specifications.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to documentation and reporting. You will prepare detailed Construction Representative's Reports (CRRs) for every site visit, documenting contractor efforts, quality assessments, and communications. You will also review daily quality control reports, submittal logs, and as-built drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance. From attending preconstruction and safety meetings to conducting pre-final and final inspections, you will play a key role in validating the completion of work and generating punch lists for any non-compliant items.
Candidacy for this position is subject to client approval. All applicants must successfully clear background checks and security assessments. A valid U.S. driver's license and proof of U.S. citizenship are required.
