About the Team
The Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) is dedicated to serving a diverse, low-income population within the San Francisco community. Our Property Management team works tirelessly to maintain safe, functional, and welcoming facilities that support residents' well-being and stability.
About the Role
As a Maintenance I, you will be the frontline guardian of our facilities, ensuring that our buildings remain safe and operational for our residents. This role is vital to the daily rhythm of the property, blending technical repair work with a deep commitment to community service.
You will handle a wide range of general maintenance tasks, from basic plumbing and electrical repairs to carpentry and painting. Your work ensures that everything from water systems to window coverings functions correctly. Beyond the repairs, you will provide custodial support when needed and serve as a responsive point of contact for building emergencies during your on-call shifts.
This position requires a balance of independence and collaboration. You will work tactfully under pressure, often interacting directly with residents and staff at all levels. Success in this role depends on your ability to solve problems efficiently, follow safety protocols rigorously, and demonstrate the maturity and dependability required to support our mission.
