About the Role

We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Maintenance team. This is a fun and rewarding opportunity for someone with a passion for working with seniors. The position operates Monday through Friday.

In this role, you will be the backbone of our community's physical well-being. You will assist in preparing vacant units for occupancy, handling tasks like painting, carpet care, and general apartment repairs. Your day will involve routine maintenance of community common areas and grounds, as well as completing assigned daily work orders for minor repairs in occupied resident apartments in a timely and professional manner.

Beyond the technical repairs, you will play a vital role in our community life. You will work in conjunction with our Life Engagement and Community Relations departments to assist with the setup and cleanup of community special events, parties, and marketing functions. You will also assist with the maintenance of community vehicles. Success in this role requires strong documentation and organization skills, the ability to re-prioritize to accommodate the fluctuating needs of residents, and the ability to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and team members.
